The 4-H LEGO Engineering Program has once again come to a close. During our sixth and last lesson we learned about ships and how we depend on them to carry passengers and cargo long distances. The 2nd graders made ships out of LEGOS. The ships had to pass two tests – 1) it had to float in water and (2) It had to carry 2 (LEGO) people across the ocean during a storm. It was fun to see all of the creative ship designs and to observe weather they were successful or not in carry passengers. The program ended with each student receiving a LEGO certificate for participating in the 6 week program. The program was taught by Pamela Redwine, Extension Agent for the MSU Extension.
