This past Friday, the Law and Public Safety students of Water Valley high school spent the day at the Lafayette county fire department and training center. Along with some classroom instruction, the students had the opportunity to get some hands-on experience with ventilation and extrication tools, learn proper techniques of operating an 1 3/4 inch water attack line, as well as rappelling off of either a 2 story or 4 story tower. We would like to thank Lafayette FD training chief Jamie Phillips for hosting us and providing this amazing learning experience.
