On Tuesday, the Water Valley Band held its annual Band Banquet and celebrated a successful band season. Many awards were given out including the Stanley Crow Award presented to Jackson Herrera by former Band Director Becky Crow.
We want to give a big thank you to Liz Reynolds of Fountain Square and Chuck Upchurch and Brad Embry of Farm Bureau for providing the venue and entree of the banquet.
We would like to thank our PTO for providing loaded teas and WV belt bags for staff and faculty at DES!

Fourth grade has been reviewing Life Science standards with Ms. Tune through raising caterpillars into butterflies!!!
Students observed a butterfly wing under a microscope to get an in depth look. Students made daily observations on the growth of the caterpillar their homeroom “adopted” !!!
Mrs. Sparks class learned about Thomas Edison and his inventions! We created our own invention and created a class robot! He also has a pet dog! Good job kids! This was a lot of fun, hard work and teamwork!
