Both received a lunch certificate to BTC and the honor of displaying the star in their classrooms. Thank you both for your superb positivity and going the extra mile.
On August 9th, Dorian Pomerlee came to speak to the Health Science 1 and 2 students about nursing school and NWCC and performed student check offs on skills such as handwashing and donning and doffing PPE. Dorian is a graduate from WVHS and the Health Science program. She has a phlebotomy certification and is now in her last semester of RN school at NWCC. Dorian did a wonderful job presenting and we look forward to her coming back!

Third grade students made comprehension cootie catchers. They had fun working with partners to ask and answer comprehension questions from this week’s story. Next week they will make one to practice vocabulary words.

DES Book Fair
WVHS Counselor Jonathan Barnes spoke with 7th grade students on Tuesday about stress and test anxiety with the upcoming benchmark testing.
Mrs. Jacks's class is learning all about properties of matter this week! Her students became real scientists today, exploring the difference between conductors and insulators. They built circuits and tested various materials to see if they could conduct electricity. 💡⚡️
